- Understand client’s financial and commercial objectives
- Carefully select potential partners based on their level of commercial fit and their ability to meet our client’s financial objectives
- Prepare a introductory information materials necessary to qualify potential partners and determine the most relevant points of intersection
- Approach potential partners with introductory materials and gauge their initial interest in a dialogue
- Coordinate & lead more detailed discussions between select partners and analyze the relative merits of each partner, with the goal of moving towards negotiations with a small group of partner candidates
- Establish the negotiating strategy at the outset, clearly linking it to our client’s financial and commercial objectives
- Lead negotiations, shielding our client from the often tenuous tenor of negotiations, thereby preserving their relationship with the partner going forward
